The camera work for NBA Championship looks a little bit different than the camera work for the Jr. NBA championship due to budgets – but what if it didn’t have to?
This is exactly the challenge FOX Sports set out to solve in its pilot with Seervision, an AI-assisted camera operator. FOX Sports partnered with Seer Vision to test their state-of-the-art video analysis algorithms for real-time object recognition and scene segmentation in video productions. The goal was to understand how FOX Sports could leverage this type of technology to keep production costs of lower-level games low but the quality of camera work high.
