To explore the potential for virtual coaching to be enhanced by computer vision and machine learning, GSVS activated a pilot program at LAFC’s training center, in partnership with UEFA, leveraging technology from Verizon’s 5G Lab and startup Uplift Labs.
Uplift Capture can deeply analyze an athlete’s biomechanics just by using two iPhones, allowing a team, like LAFC, to assess its players anywhere—on the pitch or in the weight room. LAFC is also intererested in using Uplift’s live digital coaching app in their work with younger players through their Academy.
